Translation & Communication Lead — Minki Suominen

With a passion for languages, culture, and connection, Minki is our Translations and Communication Lead — making sure that our message is not only understood, but truly felt across borders and communities.
Holding a Master of Science in Economics from the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration, with a major in marketing and a minor in international business, Minki brings a rare blend of analytical thinking, global perspective, and creative communication to her work. She speaks an impressive seven languages — Finnish, English, Swedish, German, French, Dutch, and Spanish — making her a true bridge-builder between people, cultures, and ideas.
Her professional background spans the cosmetics and natural products industry in both Amsterdam and Helsinki, along with international assignments in Hong Kong and Cairo, where she specialized in marketing and multilingual translation. These experiences have sharpened her instinct for culturally sensitive, impactful communication—something she now channels into amplifying SIRA’s voice and values.
Currently based in Aradippou, Cyprus, Minki supports our teams and participants by making sure communication flows clearly and inclusively, whether through written content, live translation, or day-to-day interactions. Her deep appreciation for intercultural learning is rooted in personal experiences too—from a Rotary exchange year in New Zealand to a cultural summer in Hungary.
When she’s not translating or crafting communication strategies, you’ll find her in the pool or at the gym — pushing boundaries, setting goals, and enjoying the rhythm of audiobooks and long runs.
